What UKpopdems stand for - in 1 minute

‘Like many millions of people, I love Britain and all the British people, whoever they are and wherever they come from. It is that love that has prompted me to set up a new political party for Britain, The United Kingdom Popular Democrats (UKpopdems).
Over the last thirty years or so, many people feel Britain has taken a wrong turn somewhere. Democracy and rights for the ordinary Briton are slowly being eroded, while government is stealing more power for itself and its cronies, and interfering more and more in our ordinary, everyday lives. UKpopdems will stop this by weakening the power of government and strengthening the combined democratic will of the people.
Other parties focus on achieving government power, and keeping it through spin and stealth. Other parties implement policies based on party dogma that suit themselves and their powerful backers. Other parties are only interested in taking more from the British people and giving less. UKpopdems are focused on listening to what the majority of the British people want, and serving these wants in government. UKpopdems are creating a platform that encourages ordinary British people to take back control of their own country. That’s real democracy.
Unlike many politicians, who’ve led a detached life in politics and law, I’ve worked for a living in the everyday world, and I’ve listened to people. I’ve listened from the Boardroom to the shop floor, from the office to the construction site, from the hospital ward to the school yard, from the unemployment office to the police beat, from the public servant to the family. And I’m still listening. UKpopdem policies are the result of that listening. My goal is simply to make Britain and law abiding British people better off, both financially and socially.
Because we’ve listened, Ukpopdems can do what no other party dare do. That is, publish first term policies in detail well before any election. This way, everyone knows exactly where we’re coming from and what we stand for. Look at our motto; “listen, serve, deliver”. Where other parties tell, we’ll listen; where other parties control, we’ll serve; where other parties spin, we’ll deliver.’
