2008 Budget

This budget is not just a con, it's a whisker away from fraud. We were promised alchohol taxes to end binge drinking, but now we see it's the much suffering ordinary consumers who are hit most; binge drinkers won't even notice. We were promised green measures on gas guzzlers, but now we see Darling puts the humble Ford Focus into this heinous group, and ordinary consumers are hit again with a three-fold first year tax increase. And where is all this money going? Into climate change measures? More police to combat violence? Oh no, nothing as useful as that. It's disappearing straight into Brown's spending black hole, never to resurface.
