What a waste this dispute is where no-one gains and everyone suffers. Labour just wrings its collective hands and remains powerless. As with so many of today's problems it seems UKpopdems is the only party with solutions. Look, companies want to maximise profits and employees want to maximise pensions. Quite right, it is possible to have both. For a start UKpopdems will eliminate corporation tax so companies can retain ALL their profits. Second, we'll balance this by requiring companies to reinstate salary linked pensions AND be responsible for looking after employee's health better. Costs neutral and benefits all round. Not to mention a massive influx of profitable companies and jobs into the UK. It's so obvious you could weep.
