Scottish Independence

Wendy Alexander is right, whether or not Brown agrees, the people of Scotland should have the chance as soon as possible to voice their opinion on independence in order to clear the air. In fact the referendum should be held right across the British Isles. This is not just a Scottish question, Scotland is part of Britain and every Briton should have their say. If the resulting vote from Scotland itself is more than 40% in favour of independence, then the rest of the UK needs to make choices. Today, each Scot receives £1500 more than the average person in England. If Scotland is veering towards independence then this extra £1500 should start being made in the form of loans to be repaid if and when Scotland chooses full independence. This will protect the rest of Britain, too.
