The Lisbon Treaty

The passing of this treaty by The Lords is a travesty of democracy and I hope the Queen refuses to sign it off. The people of Ireland have spoken and they speak for probably hundreds of millions in many other countries of Europe where citizens have been denied a referendum. What kind of government does Brown lead that not only ignores the wishes of the people but ignores the treaty that he himself signed? - that all countries must agree or the treaty fails. It's quite simple. UKpopdems is neutral on the treaty, but we've always believed the people must have their say and that an EU which is no more than a bureaucratic dictatorship must be reformed.
