UKpopdems Our Vision

Our vision is a strong Britain; stable, democratic and compassionate, where ordinary people have real power and can safely go about their daily lives without the fear of crime, and free from the dead weight of bureaucracy on their shoulders. Where government listens and delivers what it promises for the benefit of Britain and the British people.

'Three key and overriding principles guide every aspect of our party now and into the future.'
These principles are contained in three clear and unambiguous statements:

'UKpopdems - putting Great Britain and the Great British people first'
That means Britons feeling great about themselves and their country

'UKpopdems - giving ordinary Britons real power and a real voice'
That means more power for ordinary Britons and less power for government

'UKpopdems - securing financial and social wealth for all Britons'
That means Britain and the British people financially and socially better off

Our vision is a country where the needs and aspirations of individuals and communities are met. Where your needs, your family's needs and your community's needs come first - and politicians' needs come last. We know that the common sense view of ordinary Britons counts far more than the self-centred interests of mainstream party politics.

UKpopdems make these three promises to all Britons, and to ensure our promises are kept we'll implement tough, independent regulation to keep us on track:

Instead of telling you what to do and what to think, we'll listen to the democratic voice of the people and act on it.

Instead of seeking power over the people, we'll seek to serve the needs of individuals, families and communities.

Instead of spinning and failing to deliver, we'll deliver what we promise and that will be the measure our success.

Our vision is a government that implements policies that operate for the benefit of millions of ordinary Britons, rather than for the benefit of a few hundred politicians, their cronies, backers and senior civil service elite.

Democratic policies that ensure you and your community always have more power than government:

Where people are listened to on the difficult issues that affect their daily lives
Where people get together to recommend, change or delete legislation and policies
Where politicians have to earn respect and are prevented from abusing it
Where communities are empowered to control local priorities and decisions
Where the House of Lords is strengthened to protect the people against bad policy
Where the government's role in determining reviews and appointments is limited
Where the manipulation of election timing is ended in favour of a standard term

Community policies that make life better for you and your family wherever in Britain you live:

Where higher, income related pensions guarantee a secure and dignified retirement
Where fast hospital treatment and the best care before, during and after, is normal
Where schools turn out well educated, healthy and confident young adults
Where the special schools and local clinics and hospitals people need are built
Where help is given simply and thoughtfully when people really need it
Where the fear of violence is eradicated through huge increases in community policing
Where back-office bureaucracy is driven down and front-line community delivery expanded

Economic policies that bring work, opportunity, wealth and financial stability to Britain and the British people:

Where people can vote on reducing or increasing national taxes and expenditure
Where eliminating corporation tax brings a massive influx of jobs and wealth to Britain
Where very high earners can benefit by contributing to Britain's poor and disadvantaged
Where everyone who needs a job has the right to real and valuable work
Where the excessively damaging and expensive litigation culture is ended
Where fast, safe, reliable and clean transport options are readily available
Where motoring taxes are ring-fenced and made simpler and fairer

International policies that make you proud of Britain and our place in the world:

Where immigration is reduced and sensibly and simply controlled
Where a referendum decides Britain's future relationship with the EU
Where environmental solutions protect the world without damaging lifestyles
Where a strong Britain strives for a safer, freer and more compassionate world
Where those suffering poverty, fear and disaster across the globe receive direct help
Where government invests decisively in Britain's performance, achievement and success
Where home defences are strengthened without damaging the rights or ordinary people
